Resonalis

Terms of use

Scope and contact

These terms cover the Resonalis website, J-Express, its documentation, scientific workflow skills and optional AI/MCP integration. Contact Resonalis at contact@resonalis.com with questions. Review these terms before using the service; if they are unsuitable for your intended use, do not use it. Free access does not include a guarantee of support or continued availability.

Scientific judgment and validation

Software, statistical methods, visualizations, documentation and AI-generated suggestions can contain errors or omissions. Results depend on input quality, experimental design, parameters, assumptions and software versions. You must choose appropriate methods, check inputs and outputs, and independently validate results before relying on them in research, publications or decisions. Demonstrations and reference comparisons do not establish fitness for your own dataset or independent scientific peer review. AI interpretations are suggestions, not established findings or professional advice.

No warranties

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service and materials are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of accuracy, completeness, reliability, security, uninterrupted availability or fitness for a particular purpose. Features may change or become unavailable.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Resonalis and the people who develop or provide these services exclude liability for losses arising from their use or inability to use them, including incorrect analyses, interpretations or publications, loss or corruption of data, interrupted work, lost profits and indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or limits mandatory statutory rights. This limitation is not a guarantee that an exclusion will apply in every case.

Your data and backups

You retain your rights in your data. You must have permission to use the data and to disclose it to any service you enable. J-Express is intended for scientific data without personal information; do not submit identifiable patient or research-participant data, credentials or confidential information through AI/MCP, external lookups or support messages. Removing names alone does not necessarily make genomic data anonymous.

The browser workspace is not a backup service. Browser cleanup, storage limits, private browsing, device failure or software errors can remove or corrupt local work. Keep independent copies of source data and export project backups regularly. Check exported files before relying on them.

Optional AI and external services

Connecting an AI session sends a bounded technical context to the J-Express relay. Approving an MCP client authorizes ongoing tool access within the permissions you select; you are not asked to approve each subsequent read. Depending on permissions, tools may retrieve dataset values, identifiers, annotations, analysis results and plot images, and may create or modify workspace content subject to tool safeguards. Review requests, permissions and results.

Information returned to an AI client passes through the J-Express relay and is subject to that client's and its provider's terms and privacy practices. Disconnecting revokes further session access; it does not delete copies already received by an AI provider. External annotation, enrichment and model-download services have their own terms. Optional local R/Python runtimes and packages are installed and controlled by the user and have their own licenses. You are responsible for checking any third-party fees; free J-Express access does not include paid AI services.

Materials, references and third-party rights

Free use does not grant a blanket license to redistribute the software, site materials, reference data or third-party content. Respect applicable licenses, dataset conditions, attribution requirements and publication standards. References to OpenAI, Anthropic, Google or other providers acknowledge tools or describe integrations; they do not imply sponsorship, endorsement or guaranteed compatibility.

Updates

The revision date identifies this version. Material changes will be described on this page; a new date is not retroactive acceptance. Check the current terms when returning to the service.
